When you're desperate, you're desperate, right?
I guess I could have had an ice cream cone from carvel or something from one of the other vendors at the Ramapo rest stop. But I had been on the road and in meetings all day without food....and I think the eggs at McDonalds are partially real.
So I broke down and had an egg and cheese mcgriddle.
Full disclosure - I've only had a mcgriddle two other times in my life and this one wasn't the worst. So that's positive. But the staff seemed to be thrown off by the lack of sausage or bacon...so it took a while for them to prepare it.
Whatever. It was hot and had some protein to help me get through the rest of my drive to NYC. But it still set me back a bit over $6 since I had a small unsweetened iced tea with it. -

Avoid - Wait a few more minutes till you get into New Jersey! - This is technically a "Roadside Rest Stop" - Hence prices are significantly higher and the quality of the food is significantly less. My Fries were hardly cooked. Avoid @ all costs.

This restaurant is terrible. My friends cat Oliver absolutely despises it. I found a banana on my hamburger and it had butt hole peekles and it was stupendous. All in all I will never eat here again
